The Lector proclaims the Word of God during the Liturgy of the Word at Mass. Two Lectors are required for Saturday evening and Sunday Masses and may also serve for weekday Masses. The “Workbook for Lectors and Gospel Readers” is provided to assist in preparation. Attendance at a Lector Workshop is required for all new Lectors.
