The Angel Gabriel announced to Mary that the child to be born was Holy, the Son of God.
He came to be with us, and to reveal His Father to us, but this is a process: the revelation of the Divine is gradual for our limited understanding.
Mary and Joseph, who awaited the miracle, were still amazed at Simeon’s proclamation in the temple that Jesus was the prophesied Savior.
This is the greatest gift we have ever been given.
