Rain Forest Fall Vacation Bible School is a transformative program that immerses kids in a vibrant rainforest setting filled with waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures.
The Adaptive VBS program is designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities from age 4yrs – middle school. It will include a hands-on, multi-sensory, modified curriculum based on the needs of the participants. Staff will meet with parents in advance to learn about support needs and one-on-one volunteers will be provided. Parents are welcomed, but not required to attend with their child. Our volunteers make VBS possible. No special experience needed — just a loving heart. Teen volunteers will help provide support as buddies to students, and adult volunteers will assist with facilitating the activities.
Volunteers whose duties involve contact with minors and vulnerable adults undergo a background check (Sterling) and attend a required safe environment training (VIRTUS).
