Pastor's Corner

2026 4-26 Please avail yourself of an opportunity to thank Deacon Jim and Deacon Paul for their service and continue to wish them well on their journey of faith.

The Catholic Church is blessed to have men serve as Permanent Deacons.  Those men who are called to the Permanent Deaconate can be married, and they are usually ordained after a rigorous period of five years of training and formation. Many Permanent Deacons have secular jobs to support their families, and strive to balance family, Church, work, and other responsibilities.

Transition is part of the life of a Deacon.  This month, Deacon Jim Wolf will be leaving Saint Brigid to go to Indianapolis to spend more time with his children and grandchildren. He has faithfully served the Saint Brigid faith community for many years. Deacon Paul Doppel joins our faith community this month.  He has served in various parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, and his wife and daughter are parishioners at Saint Brigid.

We are grateful to have many faithful, dedicated, and holy Deacons serving us at Saint Brigid.  They generously share their gifts and talents with us.  Please avail yourself of an opportunity to thank Deacon Jim and Deacon Paul for their service and continue to wish them well on their journey of faith.  Please also continue to pray for vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life.
