Family vacation!…Beach weekend with friends!…Trip to the Holy Land! All have three things in common: Group, Via, and Bonding.
“Group” is what makes us a unit, our commonality, like the Disciples. “Via” is the journey we take, the path, like Jesus’ Via Crucis. “Bonding” is the result of Group + Via, cohesion, like the One Body of Christ.
We at Saint Brigid yearn for this Group, Via, and Bonding on personal, parish, and universal church levels. You yearn to respond to your Creator and deepen your love with all your heart. Our parish yearns to galvanize as we navigate our expansion plans to serve us and generations ahead. Our universal church yearns to unite against unprecedented attacks on our freedom.
This year more than ever, I urge you to satisfy your personal, parish, and church yearnings by experiencing the Eucharistic Congress on June 8th and 9th. If you’ve never been to a Congress, you just don’t know what you’re missing! The best Catholic speakers in the country, the beautiful diversity of our Atlanta church, a wide selection of books, CDs, artwork, and of course, being One Body in Christ, all await you. There is a special treat this year: Our own Saint Brigid Choir will grace the splendor of the closing Mass!
Searching? See why the Eucharist is the fountain and the mountain of your faith! Single? Come and connect! Married? Come fill your love with the Holy Spirit! Parent? Come show the kids the beauty of their faith! Ministry member? Bring the gang and breathe renewed life into your service!
This year we will have a dedicated Saint Brigid section at the Congress marked for us. Leave the driving to us: Buses depart 7:00am, 9:30am, 12:00pm and return 2:00pm, 4:30pm, and 7:00pm.
Beware of the Enemy’s age-old warfare tactic: Divide and Conquer. He wants to separate us from the power of coming together in faith by telling you that you are too busy. He wants to isolate you from the energy of our sister parishes by whispering it’s inconvenient and you get all you need just staying put. I say if you’re too busy for God…you’re too busy!
Now is the time for Saint Brigid as a Group to Via together to our Eucharistic Congress and Bond for the ages!
