Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Infirm bring Holy Communion to members of our parish family who are unable to attend Mass, either at the local assisted living homes within our parish boundaries or at their homes. Those who wish to serve in this ministry must already be commissioned as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
Some Extraordinary Ministers receive additional training to take Holy Communion to the sick or homebound. Untrained individuals may not take Communion anywhere without specific permission from a priest or deacon and must be properly trained.
