Welcome to Saint Brigid Athletics.
The Saint Brigid children’s athletic leagues are open to all boys and girls who are parishioners of St. Brigid, St. Benedict, and St. Andrew Catholic Churches or attend Holy Redeemer Catholic School. We offer Soccer, Basketball, Cross Country and Girls Volleyball.
All St. Brigid Athletic Ministry programs are run by active parent volunteers. The success of the children’s athletic program is dependent upon volunteers serving as coaches and assistant coaches. We have a Program Director and Athletic Director who help administer the program but the actual coaching is all done by parents. Parent participation is encouraged, and you will enjoy the program more as you become active with the children. Please prayerfully consider participating in this important children’s ministry. Boys and Girls Fall/Winter Basketball 2024-25
Basketball teams are forming now. Registration closes on September 15, 2024.

St. Brigid 3rd-8th Grade CMLA Basketball Program
The St. Brigid (“BRG”) Basketball Program is run by volunteers of the BRG Athletic Ministry. For your information, the 3rd through 8th grade BRG basketball teams participate in the Catholic Metro League of Atlanta (“CMLA”). Games usually last an hour and are either in the Holy Redeemer gym or away at other parishes. The program is focused on teaching the kids how to play basketball, modeling good sportsmanship, teamwork and for us all to grow our family fellowship in the church community.

CMLA 2024-2025 Basketball Program Registration starts July 31st and ends September 15th.
Please note that the current registration for the 3rd Grade Girls, 6th Grade Boys and 7th Grade Girls are WAITLIST ONLY as we are in the process of evaluating whether or not teams will be formed in these divisions. CMLA rules require a minimum of 8 players registered in order to form a team. Please register your child for the waitlist so that we can determine if there is enough interest to form a team. Your credit card will NOT be charged until we determine the minimum number of participants has been achieved. If there are enough players to form a team, we will activate your child from the waitlist and you will be sent an email requesting immediate payment.
3rd Grade to 8th Grade Program Details:
- Practices start in October
- 9 Regular Season Games are played on Saturdays from November through January
- 5th thru 8th grade teams ONLY will participate in the CMLA Basketball Tournament. Play in games begin the first week of February and tournament ends the weekend of February 10th
- The annual Sam Robb Basketball Charity Tournament will take place the weekend of January 17th-20th (participation is optional for a separate fee and teams must be registered to participate)
- The annual Shamrock Basketball Tournament held in Charlotte, NC will take place the weekend of February 15th-17th (participation is optional for 8th GRADERS only and teams must be registered to participate)

Registration Cost:
- Registration Fee is $180
- Uniform Fee (if needed) is $40
- Family Discount:If you have more than one player registered for any of the BRG basketball programs, a $15 family discount will be offered for each additional child registered.
Uniforms – Returning players will reuse the uniforms from the previous season, but have the opportunity during registration to purchase a new uniform (includes jersey and shorts). New registrants to the program will need to purchase a uniform.
Please note the following refund processes for cancellations after registration:
A $20 refund fee will be charged for cancellations before 9/15; a $45 refund fee will be charged for cancellations between 9/16 and 11/01; and no refunds will be allowed after 11/01.
Uniform Refund Policy: You will receive a refund for a purchased uniform if you cancel your child’s registration before the registration closing date of 9/15. However, after 9/15 there will be NO refunds for uniforms purchased.

U7 – U14 Registration begins June 15th and ends July 26th
Pre K and K Registration begins June 15th and ends August 9th
Grades 1st through 8th will participate in the Catholic Metro Atlanta Soccer League (CMSL) and compete against teams from other parishes and schools, including Christ the King, Holy Spirit, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption, Pinecrest Academy, St. Brendan the Navigator, St. Catherine of Siena, St.John Neumann, St. Jude the Apostle, St. Peter Chanel and St. Thomas More. CMSL games may be home or away.
The Fall CMSL season for the U7-14 divisions will consist of 7 games beginning the weekend of August 24th and ending the weekend of October 19th/20th. The U10, U12 and U14 divisions will participate in a CMSL tournament the weekend of October 26th/27th. Games will be on either Saturday or Sunday with some weekends, you might have 2 games.
Please note: CMSL works in conjunction with the Catholic Metro Volleyball League, so no (5th/6th grade) or (7th/8th grade) girls volleyball games will be scheduled during soccer games.

The Pre-K and Kindergarten (U6) BRG soccer program is an intramural program in which teams will play other teams from the BRG league with all games to be played on the BRG fields. U6 divisions will be Co-ed. If we have enough numbers in the U6 division for both girls and boys, we will split by gender. Teams will be divided by the BRG committee based on skill level to equalize the teams.

Saint Brigid Girls Fall 2024 Volleyball Program

The St. Brigid (BRG) Volleyball Program is run by volunteers of the BRG Athletic Ministry. The program is open to rising 5th through 8th grade girls. Beginners are welcome – no previous play experience is required!
Our volleyball teams compete in the Catholic Metro Volleyball League (CMVL), which comprises Catholic schools/parishes throughout the metro area. The CMVL consists of 2 GIRLS divisions: 5th/6th grade division and 7th/8th grade division. Each team has a minimum of 9 and maximum of 12 players. Teams are evenly balanced by skill level and all players receive playing time based upon league rules.
Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, however you may register your daughter on a wait list if the registration is full. If you are accepted from the wait list, you will be sent a reminder email to login to your Sports Connect account and pay your outstanding balance.
Please note: CMVL works in conjunction with the Catholic Metro Soccer League, so no U12 (5th/6th grade) girls or U14 (7th/8th grade) soccer games will be scheduled during volleyball games.
General Information:
- Registration will open from May 15th until July 19th
- The season will consist of 10 games over 6 weeks and a tournament is played at the end of the season

Saint Brigid Cross Country Program

The St. Brigid (BRG) Cross Country Program is run by volunteers of the BRG Athletic Ministry.
Cross Country is open to 5th – 8th graders only.
CMXC League runs a Fall season with several meets scheduled with other parishes.

Girls (5 – 8 grades) Flag Football 2022
Registration ends on 10/15/2022.
Games will be on Sundays from 12 pm to 1:15 pm on the following dates: Nov 6, 13, 27, and Dec. 4, 11, 18. Cost: $150 (includes a jersey) Open to all students and parishioners within the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Program Description: We are considering joining USA Football which will provide coach training and resource support as well as useful formation guidelines. Participants will play at the same location every week with a Jamboree at Blessed Trinity on the final Saturday or Sunday. The sessions will run for 75 minutes and will be geared towards skill development with gameplay towards the end. You can sign up your daughter for whatever parish location is closest to you. Ideally, we would love to have a 5th/6th and 7th/8th division, but if the numbers do not work we will combine them all together.
Locations: We have several locations that can accommodate a 30×70 field. The parish locations you can register for will be the following:

Saint Brigid – Johns Creek, Saint Jude – Sandy Springs, St. Pius X – Seaver Field
