Divine Mercy Sunday & Holy Hour

“Jesus, I trust in You.”

Each year, on the Second Sunday of Easter, the Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday, a feast established by St. John Paul II in response to the revelations given by Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska. On this day, Christ invites every soul to trust in His mercy and to return to Him with confidence.

Jesus promised extraordinary graces to those who honor His mercy on this day:

“On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy.”

Those who are properly disposed, receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and receive Holy Communion, may receive a special outpouring of grace—including the forgiveness of sins and punishment.

In preparation for this great feast, Jesus asked that the Divine Mercy be honored through a nine‑day novena, beginning on Good Friday.

Each day of the Novena focuses on a specific intention and includes the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, drawing us deeper into trust and surrender to God’s mercy. Pray the novena from Good Friday through Holy Saturday.

Join Us for the Divine Mercy Holy Hour

Following the Novena, we invite you to gather in prayer on Divine Mercy Sunday for a Divine Mercy Holy Hour, a sacred time to encounter the merciful Heart of Jesus at 3:00 PM in the Chapel on April 12th. The celebrant is Deacon Paul Doppel.

The Holy Hour will include:

  • Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
  • The Chaplet of Divine Mercy
  • Scripture, reflection from scripture and St. Faustina’s Diary, and silent prayer

This hour offers a powerful opportunity to place your needs, intentions, and trust entirely in the Lord.

Confession & Preparation

Jesus desires that souls approach Him with confidence and sincere repentance. Parishioners are strongly encouraged to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation before Divine Mercy Sunday.

All Are Welcome

Everyone is invited—families, individuals, and those new to the devotion. Come and discover the mercy that flows from the Heart of Christ. Let us pray together and proclaim with faith: Jesus, I trust in You.
