Being a Lay Carmelite is not just a devotion added to life; it is a way of life; it is a vocation. Our charism is prayer, service, and community. Contemplation of the Word of God remains the chief aim of the Order. More information about Lay Carmelites can be found at www.laycarmelitespcm.org. Because becoming a Carmelite Is a vocation, there is a formation program that consists of three phases over the course of six years. It is a journey, but you would not be alone. You are travelling with your fellow candidates and the St. Brigid Carmelite community. Carmel teaches the Church to Pray!
Time: The Saint Brigid Lay Carmelite Community meets on the third Saturday of the month in the Saint Brigid Library after the 9:00 am Mass.
