From our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Tri John-Bosco Nguyen

If I could sum up all of what I want to say to you as my farewell remarks, it would be this, “I AM GRATEFUL!”

Saint Brigid has been a blessing for my priestly life.  This is my second assignment since my Ordination in 2012.  I am still a “baby priest,” and I am grateful that Archbishop Gregory has assigned me here under Fr. Neil as my Pastor.  He has been a great mentor and a brother who is very patient and generous with me.  His caring presence before and after all Masses to greet the parishioners will continue to be the great example for me to follow.

I am also grateful for our dedicated staff and volunteers.  When you walk to the Church or the office on any given day, you will find people who would go out of their way to assist you in what you need.  Not only are they my colleagues, they are also my friends in whom I can find support and motivation to continue to joyfully serve.

And certainly, it is you, the people of Saint Brigid, that I am grateful to God.  Though we have different in roles, it is your faith that strengthens my faith and your vocations that deepen my priestly vocation.  Journeying with you these past four years has been faith-filled and joy-filled.

I pray for God’s blessings upon you and your loved ones.  Please continue to pray for me in as I take on the new role of Vocations Director for the Archdiocese.
